Schedule of Classes:
Class 1) January 20th– Lecture, “Abstract Shapes”. In Class, creating shape based compositions
Class 2) January 27th – Lecture, “Eye Movement”. In Class, compositional movement
Class 3) February 3nd – Lecture, “Color Gamut”, In Class applying the limited pallet (PHOTO REFERENCE)
Class 4) February 10th – “Color Gamut”, applying the limited pallet (PHOTO REFERENCE)
No Class February 17th (instructor birthday)
Class 5) February 24th – Figure Painting, Model A- Focus on color gamut
Class 6) March 2nd– Figure Painting, Model A- focus on color gamut
Class 7) March 9th – Figure Painting, Model B- Focus on strong composition
Class 8 March 16th– Figure Painting, Model B- Focus on strong composition
Class 9) March 23nd – All Day Painting/Critique Day, 9:30am-3:30pm
Please note that there is a $4 per day fee when we are working from the model.
Material List for Abstract Representation
ANY two dimensional COLOR medium.
Surfaces include, but are not limited to, canvas, paper and panel. If you would like to try out a new medium (or one to work in conjunction with your current one), please let me know and I will be happy to provide an appropriate supply list for the medium.
